- Thesis title: The Effects of Visual Impairment on Motor Function
- Supervisor: Dr Rachel Coats, Dr Carlo Campagnoli, Professor Richard Wilkie
Profile
I completed my BSc Psychology with Computer Science in 2024 at the University of Nottingham. My research current focuses on understanding how unilateral and bilateral visual impairment impact motor function, particularly when reaching, grasping, and aiming. I use motion capture to analyse movement kinematics and run experiments in both real-life and virtual reality environments. I am particularly interested in how aspects of 3D space, such as contrast, shadow, shape and environmental clutter affect the planning and execution of upper-limb movements when vision is degraded in order to further investigate the perceptual mechanisms underlying action.
