Profile
I am an experienced researcher in cardiovascular and metabolic medicine. My current focus is on calcium channel function in human cardiac biopsies from patients with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I recieved a first class Hons in BSc Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds and a distinction in MRes Medicine, specialising in cardiovascular and metabolic medicine. I am a fourth year British Heart Foundation funded PhD student at Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine.
Research interests
Cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, calcium homeostasis, mechanobiology, cardiac fibroblasts, fibrosis, remodelling.
