Our Objectives

Medicine & Health will:

  • Bring together interdisciplinary communities of researchers to develop challenge-led research;
  • Identify facilitators and remove faculty barriers to impactful, high quality, collaborative research;
  • Influence University research policy, decisions and strategy to promote the research work undertaken in FMH;
  • Support collaborative research applications, projects and programmes and the communities that form around them;
  • Develop a strategic approach to growing industry partnerships;
  • Ensure our research positively impacts on the environment, is sustainable and adheres to the highest principles of effective and transparent governance;
  • Value, support, train and develop all our staff;
  • Promote the research, innovation, and impact activities of FMH to increase reach of our work and the health and well-being in global, UK and local populations.
