OSCE Examiner Training

Course overview

These workshops outline the role of the examiner in OSCEs, explain how we plan to set standards and give participants the opportunity to mark stations and discuss variation in marking.

By the end of this session participants will be better able to:

  • Understand their role in OSCE examinations
  • Demonstrate competence and skill in the practice of OSCE examining
  • Utilise their skills of listening, observing, and making professional judgements.

Please note: all examiners should aim to attend an OSCE Examiner Training workshop every three years. You must attend a training workshop run by the University of Leeds before examining Leeds' medical students.

If you have already attended an OSCE Examiner Training workshop at the University of Leeds in the last three years but would like a refresher, please complete the Online OSCE Examiner Training Refresher course.
