The School of Psychology at the University of Leeds, UK welcomes applications for one semester study – Jindal Global University (JGU) Semester 5 - commencing September 2024 for undergraduate students from the School of Psychology and Counselling, O. P. Jindal Global University.

Semester 5 Study Abroad Programme

The programme takes place in the first semester of the academic year which, in the UK, commences mid-to-late-September, with prior university inductions provided for international students. Teaching is completed around mid-December with the exam period spanning mid-to-late January. Exams are undertaken online, however some of your modules may be assessed by coursework only. On our website, you will find our university calendar which includes term dates and more information about your arrival in Leeds.

You can explore the modules on offer on the University Undergraduate Module Catalogue. In total, you will complete 60 credits. This consists of 30 credits of Psychology Level 3 modules and 30 credits of Psychology Level 2 modules. Module choice excludes the Major Project, Research Skills 3, and Research Skills 4. Available modules are subject to change and the Level 3 modules available to students on this programme will be communicated when module enrolment opens in May.

Minimum Entry Criteria

You must have completed the first four semesters of JGU’s BA Psychology Programmes and maintained an average grade of B+ during those four semesters.

You must also have proof of English proficiency. This includes one of:

  • High School Standard XII (A Level equivalent)
  • English result of over 70% from CBSE/CISCE/ West Bengal and 75% for all other state boards
  • An overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in all components – reading, listening, writing and speaking components)
  • A total TOEFL score of 88 with at least 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing on the TOEFL internet-based test
  • PTE Academic English Language Proficiency test by Pearson with at least 64 overall and at least 60 in each of the skills.

Your tests results should be valid at the time of issuance of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and at time of registration at the University of Leeds

Host Nominations and Application Instructions

Currently up to 20 places are available on this programme. JGU will screen eligible undergraduates interested in the programme and nominate the top 20 to submit an application based on academic quality. If you are interested in being considered for nomination by JGU, please contact the JSPC International Collaboration Team.

Please make your application through the Study Abroad Application Portal. The application deadline is 31st March. If you have accepted a place, you will be contacted by the School of Psychology about module enrolment which opens in May.
