I enrolled in the MSc Health Informatics with Data Science programme looking to gain an in-depth understanding into how informatics and data science can be applied to optimise healthcare, building on my educational background as a Medical Doctor. The programme not only met my expectations but exceeded them in many ways.

The diversity of my cohort across academic disciplines, nationalities and professional backgrounds, combined with the programme team’s expertise and dedication, created a dynamic learning environment that encouraged engaging discussions during seminars. In particular, the programme fostered intellectual curiosity and inspired me to think creatively and collaboratively in addressing real-world healthcare problems.

The curriculum also provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing technical skills and offered invaluable support in strengthening the ability to critically evaluate and apply evidence-based research.

Overall, studying in Leeds, a thriving hub for digital health and technology innovation, provided unique opportunities to connect with leading academic and industry experts which enhanced my learning experience and understanding of the rapidly evolving field.
