Danish Ahmed Siddiqui Dental student case study 2018

Danish Ahmed Siddiqui

Leeds offers a lot of support for graduate students, the atmosphere is very welcoming and everyone studying with me really helped me to develop not just in my field of interest but also as an individual. It has really helped me develop my communication skills and my clinical skills over the past 5 years. Staff are amazing at Leeds, there is always support being offered in case you may need it and your personal tutor regularly checks if you need any help.

I graduated from the University of Birmingham previously and applied to study as a graduate, I felt that Dentistry was a unique subject in that it allows people to specialise in an array of fields; be that research, hospital dentistry, armed forces or just general practice. It requires an individual to utilise many skills whilst developing your medical knowledge and that is what made me want to invest my time in this course.

My year group and the people around me have made this experience one to remember. I have been blessed with some amazing friends and this has really helped me to develop as an individual. I was impressed with how Leeds allowed dental students to meet patients from the get-go.

You will fall in love with the City, University, course and the people around you. This is such a brilliant place to study and it is only going to get better as the university is continually improving its facilities. There is so much to see and do in Yorkshire and Leeds is at the heart of it. Once you live here it will always have a special place in your heart.
