Laboratory for Stress and Health Research (STARlab)
Pre-test relaxation, stress induction and recovery suites
STARlab has the facilities to induce laboratory-based stress such as the Maastricht Acute Stress Test and the Trier Social Stress Test.
Data entry room
Two-way mirror viewing facilities
Ambulatory physiological monitoring equipment
Spacelabs ambulatory blood pressure monitors (ABPM) record systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate and mean arterial pressure in real time. We use these ABPM to investigate within-person and between-person processes linking daily psychological factors (e.g., daily stressors) with changes in blood pressure levels.
