Dr Sarah Wilding
I am a post-doctoral research fellow working on a Yorkshire Cancer Research funded project aiming to increase cervical cancer screening uptake in Yorkshire and Humber regions. I work as part of the Health and Social Psychology research group.
Prior to this, I worked in the Cancer Survivor Intelligence Group within Leeds Institute of Medical Research at St James's working on the Life After Prostate Cancer Diagnosis project. Funded by Movember and Prostate Cancer UK, this project is investigating the quality of life in men diagnosed with prostate cancer. Ultimately we aim to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer by informing treatment, care and support.
After completing a BSc in Psychology from the University of Hull (2012), I completed an MSc (2013) and PhD (2017) in Health Psychology at the University of Leeds. My PhD was funded by the MRC and investigated the influence of questioning behaviour on the performance of risk behaviours.
