Emmanuel Nii-Boye Quarshie
Nii holds a B.A. Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, and an M.Phil Degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. His academic interest relates to Community Psychology. Presently, Nii is a PhD Candidate in the School of Psychology, University of Leeds, UK. Nii is the Founder and President of Paragates Humanitarian Impact (PHI), a student-volunteer community based mental health NGO in Ghana, West Africa.
Nii’s research interests centre on child and adolescent mental health (CAMH), self-harm and suicide, and sexual abuse and interpersonal violence. His current research explores self-harm in young people in sub-Saharan Africa.
