Profile
Lizzie works in the Patient-Centred Outcomes Research group, on the Macmillan funded Comprehensive Patient Records project. Lizzie completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Hull. Subsequently, she completed a PhD funded by the MTough research group at the University of Lincoln. The work, entitled mental toughness and health-related lifestyle factors, investigated the influence of mental toughness on one’s ability to lose weight and practice healthy lifestyle behaviours. Lizzie joined the University in July 2017 as a Research Assistant in the Patient-Centred Outcomes Research group. She currently works on the Macmillan funded Comprehensive Patient Records project. Specifically, Lizzie works on Workstream Five of the project which aims to investigate patient-reported outcome measures, for example, quality of life, amongst cancer survivors and matched controls. The questionnaire data will then be linked to primary and secondary care records.
