Dr Michael Scales

Officially a "Clinical Lecturer in the Learning Environment"  I also work as part-time salaried GP having stepped down from the practice in Batley where I was a partner and undergraduate tutor for more than 20 years

As a Clinical Lecturer, my main responsibilities lie with the Learning Environment for our students. This entails Practice and Tutor support and development. We carry out a programme of annual Practice Visits and have developed them into a tool for evaluation of our teaching. To help our teaching base to grow to fulfil the increasing need for capacity in the community we need to continue our policy of recruiting high-quality undergraduate teaching practices. In conjunction with my colleagues from Bradford.
