Profile
I am a health data analyst and research psychologist by background with MScs in both health psychology and health data analytics, and a PhD assessing the risk of substance use on prospective elective surgery patients’ perioperative outcomes.
Post-PhD I worked as a research fellow at the Bradford Institute for Health Research for 3 years, leading a multi-hospital retrospective cohort study assessing associations between emergency doctor characteristics, patient health outcomes, and healthcare resource use. I also provided statistical support for many projects in the field of patient safety, including an MRC-funded project with clinical and commercial partners developing a device to prevent nasogastric tube-related ‘never events’ (NG-SURE).
Joining the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Medicine in April 2022, my primary role is to provide statistical analysis and support to scientists and clinicians working in the field of rheumatology.
