I graduated from Coventry University in 2015 with 1st Class Honors in BSc Biomedical Science. After a brief spell in industry at a Contract Research Organisation, I joined the School of Medicine in 2016 as a Research Technician. The project I currently work on is a £1.5 million pound study funded by the Depeartment of Health under the leadership of Professor Laura Hardie and Dr Darren Greenwood. This projects involves quantifying levels of iodine during pregnancy and postpartum to determine whether these levels correlate with adverse birth outcomes.
In 2017, I started my MSc by Reseach titled 'Understanding the Relationship Between Iodine, Selenium and Associated Biomarkers during Pregnancy and the effect on Birth Weight'. This project is due for completion by April 2019.
