Dr Swati Chopra


Swati is a chartered physiotherapist and works across the School of Healthcare and the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (LIRMM) at the University of Leeds. Swati is also an external collaborator at the Mayo Clinic, MN, USA. Currently Swati is working on musculoskeletal health related research aiming to improve quality of life of people with musculoskeletal conditions. Swati's research interests focus on biomechanics, physical rehabilitation, gait abnormalities, injury prevention, assistive devices and technology-enhanced objective assessment methods in musculoskeletal conditions. Swati's work experience in clinical research is mostly in arthritis, joint replacement surgeries, above knee amputation and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Swati has experience in using activity monitors and portable gait assessment devices.
