This workshop guides participants through the practice of workplace based assessment within the clinical setting
This is an interactive workshop where participants will lead activities and practice giving feedback, how to spot 'at-risk' students and employ nudges to improve workplace learning and assessment.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be better able to:
- Increase their knowledge of workplace based assessments (MBChB and Phys Associate), how they’re designed, who uses them and what they are
- Enhance ability to make entrustment decisions
- Understand how to support students who are not engaging with workplace teaching/ assessment and use behavioural interventions used to support these students
- Provide effective feedback to students using the online MiniCEX and Clinical Skills Passport App and gaining knowledge of how this feedback may be used.
This course is free to attend and of interest to those wishing to develop teaching skills, especially in the healthcare environment and teaching our students.
This course is part of an assessment series, of interest to those who wish to get involved with examining and question setting in undergraduate medical education, including MSc Physicians Associate
