LICAMM students and staff got involved in Yorkshire Day (1st August) celebrations to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Cake sales, quizzes and bucket collections were held inside and outside (Leeds train station) of LICAMM in order to raise money and awareness for the BHF.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women’s Health has found that across the country women are missing out on the best research, diagnosis and treatment in different ways when experiencing stroke or heart attack.

Simulations have always been utilised to support teaching on the BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) course here at the University of Leeds, including for example the use of mannequin heads for otoscopy skill development and human simulated patients for developing communication skills.
