Profile
Qualified as an RGN in 1988 having trained at the St James's Unversity Teaching Hospital School of Nursing.
Professional background in Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. I was one of the first Nurse Endoscopists in Leeds and developed the service during the period of Trust merger in 2000.
I have a long history in clinical skills teaching in endosocpy using simulators and live patients, with their consent.
To consolidate the educational focus of my clinical role within Leeds Teaching Hospitals I commenced the MEd Clinical Education in 2012, I successfully completed the PG Cert in clincal education in 2013 and subsequently the MEd in 2015.
I was delighted to accept a seconded post as Lecturer in Adult Nursing for 3 years, in February 2018, to the University of Leeds.
