Valuing aspects of quality in mental healthcare: How do preferences differ for the general population, mental healthcare service users and mental healthcare professionals?

Abstract: The aim of the project was to assess the relative value of different aspects of quality of mental healthcare delivery. We elicit preferences using a discrete choice experiment (DCE) with members of the UK general population, mental healthcare service users and mental healthcare professionals to determine relative preferences for different aspects of mental healthcare delivery alongside health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The seminar will outline the seelction of attributes for the DCE using trianglation of policy documents,  service user and healthcare professional views and existing datasets measuring quality of healthcare. The seminar will focus on the results of the DCE and a comparison of the results for members of the UK general population, mental healthcare service users and mental healthcare professionals.
