Looking After Ourselves and Each Other: An Attachment Narrative approach to systemic supervision practice with Professor Arlene Vetere

This workshop will explore an attachment narrative focus in systemic supervision practice.

Using an integration of ideas from modern attachment theory and narrative theory, the supervision relationship will be positioned at the heart of the care of, and for, the systemic practitioner, and in their turn, for the systemic supervisor. There will be a number of experiential activities in small groups. The workshop will draw on two recent publications:

Vetere A and Stratton P (eds) (2016) Interacting Selves. Routledge

Vetere A and Sheehan J (eds) (2017) Supervision of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. Springer

Arlene is a professor of family therapy and systemic practice at VID Specialized University, Oslo, Norway. She is a registered systemic therapist, systemic supervisor and clinical psychologist in the UK where she lives.
