This workshop provides an introduction to assessment within our medical education programmes. It will include a year-by-year approach and highlight the importance of formative and summative assessment.
This is an interactive workshop where participants will use their understanding of our assessments to inform their teaching.
Attending this workshop is important for those who wish to become involved in creating assessments – MCQ/OSCE
By the end of this session participants will be better able to:
- Understand the different forms of assessment used within the MBChB and PA studies programme at Leeds University
- Know the characteristics of a good assessment and ascertain quality
- Build a model of clinical competence through assessment
This course is free to attend and of interest to those wishing to develop teaching skills, especially in the healthcare environment and teaching our students.
