CPD Session - Inclusive Marking and feedback: CPD in Medical Education

Course overview

Continuing with our inclusive practice focus, this session will look at inclusive marking and feedback, with reference to the University of Leeds policy.  Facilitated by the School Academic lead for Inclusive Practice (SALIP), Dr Valerie Farnsworth will highlight the key changes and explore with participants the ways this policy applies to their teaching contexts. In particular, the importance of justifying the assessment criteria against competence standards (e.g. what are essential learning outcomes). Guidance on providing feedback that is inclusive for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) such as Dyslexia will also be addressed.
