Teaching communication skills – integrating with clinical skills

Course overview

This course will help participants guide their students to integrate their communication skills with clinical skill practice. Participants will learn about the communications training received in Leeds and receive tips on how to teach, assess and feedback students on placement

By the end of this session participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the communications training received in the curriculum
  • Learn how to maximise communication skills teaching opportunities during practice
  • Identify areas where feedback can be given with regards to communications

This course is free to attend and of interest to those wishing to develop teaching skills, especially in the healthcare environment and teaching our students.
